After moving to Atlanta, Georgia from Los Angeles, California, Freddy Cameron, Jr. had a vision of an organization that provides extensive opportunities in the form of networking, mentoring, and community involvement for the Georgia entertainment community. He felt that so many other organizations focus on national initiatives rather than cultivating the entertainment community in their home state.

Once initiated in the Atlanta community, Cameron realized he wanted to contribute to the state of Georgia's entertainment initiative by providing an organization exclusive to those involved in the Georgia entertainment community. This desire created what is now known as the Georgia Entertainment Association.
